This was my first mini-comic, printed in August 1995. it was conceived as a possible “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” style series, but sadly, I would only produce one before other projects (including the original MadCurry mini-comics) would divert my attention away from the idea. In hindsight, a series involving at least one murder and one suicide attempt per episode seems like a darn good idea to me.

At the time, I was not doing too well well financially, so dollar records from Philly Record Exchange were my main form of musical entertainment. Ever the musical bottom feeder, I would supplement this by recording cassettes of CDs purchased by my friends, some of whom were pretty serious collectors. It was hanging out with these friends that inspired the original idea for this episode. Truth be told, my actual musical accompaniment while drawing this was, most often, the 8 bit sounds of the original Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda.
